Our Location

The Environmental Hub is located on Duchess Street, in the heart of Marylebone, London.  Duchess Street is named after Margaret Bentinck, Duchess of Portland (1715 – 1785) a pioneering naturalist, collector and Patron of Science and the Arts. 

Her natural history collection was the largest and most famous of its time – her great ambition was to collect and describe every unknown species in the world. 

Margaret Bentinck is one of the key inspirations behind the location of the Environmental Hub – and we aim to continue her legacy in furthering understanding of key environmental issues of the 21st Century.
